Don't give up. Stay after them. Be polite.
If they are willing to sell they will have a price in mind.
Then negotiate..

Re: How much should i offer?

Then again they might want to or need to sell it and think no one is interested.. Leave a note asking if for sale and what they would take for it. Then counter offer with your number and go from there. A nice wad of 100's speaks loud. :2thumbs:

Re: Long time lurker

Right now I'm to the point where I need a new head gasket for the 21r. I emailed Engnbldr and he said to use a 20r h/g. Wiki says the bore from a 20r is 88.4mm while the 21r is 84mm. Do you think I'll be fine? Will I might be interested in a good 20r head, I'll send you a PM yeah use a 20R HG for t...

Re: Long time lurker

21R can be peppy with the right parts. It's 1972cc instead of a 2189cc. but it makes more hp then a stock 20R and at a higher rpm. they share the same stroke. the cranks & rods are 2xR, but the pistons are much smaller at 85mm instead of 88mm.. to limit the cc under 2000cc for road tax reasons i...

Re: New member from Seattle

4age xmem is 1-2" wider then the celica one. just cutting the metal out of the middle then welding
it back together is easiest way imho. you can reuse 1 set of holes on the xmem and just redrill 2 others
then both LCA will almost line up, making things easier yet again. :2thumbs:

Re: New member from Seattle

It's about 3-4" wider. I'm not sure of the exact measurement, but I have compared AE86 axles to mine and they were each about 2" longer. I would really think that it would be easier to make the Celica engine cross member work with the 4AG and rack, rather than swapping out the hole thing....

Re: ford 4.6 vs 5.0

Don't do a 4.6 unless you get a late model 3 valve. But you'll still have fitment issues.
The 5.0 is much better fit and the aftermarket support is crazy.
