Took a tour of the Toyota Museum in Torrance, CA. They have a light blue (or silver? cant remember) one and is was one of the first cars where I stopped and thought to myself "I absolutely need one of those". Took a year of searching for a solid one that had a black interior (not a fan of the tan one) and wasn't trashed with rust or had a dead engine.

This one is mostly original. I think most of the maintenance parts (belts, filters, etc) are aftermarket and the seats were reupholstered at some point. I love the original paint.

As my first old car, I feel like I made a good choice. I've found that these cars (especially in this condition) are quite rare. It could be that all the owners keep theirs garaged all the time because from what I can gather any sort of body parts and anything non-engine related are basically nonexistent.

Just got access to these forums and I am looking forward to learning anything and everything. I was surprised to find out that there are not very many 1st gen Celica communities.

Really nice! Keep that original paint even it has blemishes. I put a new "wheel skins" steering wheel leather wrap on mine. Your car for sure deserves one. Welcome to the forum!

Very nice car! In excellent shape. Same color as mine before I painted it black. I had a black one when I was younger and I was compelled to take it to black. Yours looks very well kept, Enjoy!

I don't think there is. I'll start a post for the socal guys to introduce themselves and say where they are from.
