New Guy from LA - 74 LT

Post by PM_Aero »

Hey whats up?

I bought an RA21 a few weeks ago and have been doing research on which direction to take my project since then. The motor is seized, the interior is all there but in terrible shape and the body needs work - so I've pretty much gotta do everything. The car was single owner and I found some original documentation etc and it has the original plates.

This is my second Celica - first was a 2000 Celica GT when I was a teenager. I drove it 200k miles and it gave up the ghost and back then I didn't have any money to fix it so I had to sell.

I'm excited to be working on this car for a few reasons; nostalgia, it's smog exempt in CA so I have freedom to do whatever the *@@* I want and the fact that it's RWD.

I'm an engineer by trade, so I'm hoping I can do most of the work myself - we'll see how that goes.

A pic of what I'm starting with:

Well, I gave you guys the salesmen angle of it. She needs a driver side front fender, as the one installed is a bit crunchy. So if you hear of a metal fender in decent shape let me know.
