RA29 from the US of A!

Post by RGNHD »

Hello all,

I just recently picked up my first, first gen celica that I've been looking for, for a long time.
It's a RA29 with 150,xxx miles on it. Still has the stock running 20R and even has fully working AC that's been upgraded to R154!
There's a fair bit of rust, Mostly just in the hatch and passenger rocker panel.
My plan is to turn this into more of a streetable track car and do a sr20det swap to help keep the weight farther back up front.

Welcome aboard the crazy train! Where are you from? Where did you find it?

I appreciate it! I live just north of the Charlotte NC area. I ended up finding it in a small town in SC that was about 2 hours away.
The guy I grabbed it from was a huge toyota nerd but mostly only with their trucks. He bought this thinking he'd build it up as his own toyota car but decided he wanted more money for his 4-runner.
