Re: Hello from Nova Scotia, Canada
Wayne I thought for sure the car was one your son had bought. I'm reasonably sure you have mentioned a son in previous posts, so I assumed wrongly  Good to have Adam on board, you guys can team up for local car shows and have your own section! Two very nice examples for the viewing pleasure of...

Re: Hello from Nova Scotia, Canada

Re: Meet Rover!
Welcome! :) Well unless things changed in later models, the GTs have 4 spoke steering wheels and a honeycomb grill. Also, there is a strip of stainless that runs down the bottom edge of the sides of the car. Transmission might be 5-speed too, but I'm not sure on that. Of course, there is also the G...

Re: Meet Rover!
Difference was tire and rim pkg. I'm QUITE sure only GT's had 2 door mirrors the rest just drivers side. Basically trim levels were the only difference. From my personal experience owning 2 first gens new in 72(st) and 77 (gt) I can only talk about North American cars though as things change around ...

Re: New member - Need help
Wow those are some low numbers, try your kit on another engine without issues to see if tester is faulty. If it's ok then looks like a rebuild/replace situation. The healthy numbers shoulr be roughly triple what you're getting (180+)

Re: New member - Need help
Vic Keep a close eye on the fuel filter and look for rust in there, if the car was sitting for a long time then the tank may be rusted inside. That will cause you endless problems and needs to be addressed befor you rebuild/replace the carb. You might as well find a set of headers and install them a...

Re: Hi! Im looking into buying this celica! opinions ?
The door jamb looks a bit wrong color wise You mean the over spray where someone didn't even bother to tape it off? Looks like they just closed the door and went at it with a wagner and some left over wall paint. Satin finish beige maybe? :lol2: No, looks like eggshell to me. But seriously if were ...
