Re: new guy first post

Don't think we've seen that drivetrain yet. It's a interesting one for sure. It would be great if you could take lots of pics of the build and in particular the engine /gearbox install. Good to know how easy or difficult it is. And finally, welcome to the forum there are many helpful people here, we...

Re: '77 RA29 New Owner/Member from SoCal

Very nice car! In excellent shape. Same color as mine before I painted it black. I had a black one when I was younger and I was compelled to take it to black. Yours looks very well kept, Enjoy!

Re: E-type owner looking for a Gen 1 Liftback

Hi trev - The spec of Uk cars was that the UK gt had a twin cam 18r-g engine with close ratio gearbox and standard LSD. The other LSD fitted to UK cars was the ta22gt and TA23gt , but only 200 of the first and 100 of the second imported. The Ra28 gt had vinyl trim seats , not cloth, silver dash and...

Re: E-type owner looking for a Gen 1 Liftback

I didn't think there were any LSD fitted 1st gen cars anywhere??? And gearboxes other than being 4 or 5 speed were the same(T or W) no matter what the trim level in my 40 year owner experience with these cars. But I'm still learning, and would like to know more. I'm really only familiar with the No...

You don't seem to be monitoring you other post. 3 cars here. At the rate they go for in the UK and the weak Canadian dollar. You could ship and still save substantially.

Re: New member

welcome to the club. Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself, where you live, what your plans are? A few pics of the car. All that info helps us help you when you may be looking for parts etc. Adding your general location in your profile helps immensely.

Enjoyed the vid's and the music. If you're not beating out your own panels these guys make some neat stuff. And the Canadian $$ is WAY down right now so you can probably buy whatever they have cheaper than you could make it  http://www.alfaparts.net/. There are some cars getting cut right now i...

Re: New member

Re: '77 Celica GT, Speed Academy, and my first old school To

Wow, the body looks like it's in great shape. Is that really the original stick-on side molding? I think so. I'm planning to remove them. You want them? Nope that colour combo was never offered from Toyota...it's a custom job. White cars came with the red/black striping st shown below (72, me as a ...

I thought so, but after looking into it further, I think only the rear will. But someone smarter than me, will chime in I am sure.

Front will not fit for sure and the back might fit a coupe but definitely not a liftback (needs widened). Subject to verification.
