Nice find! I used to have a 75 back in college and I've got a soft spot for them. Yours looks nice! :)

Re: Newbie with ST needs opinions

Thanks for the feedback and would the 22r motor similar to the smaller 80s pickup truck? I have a lot to learn and I will try figuring out how to post some picts up to share with you guys. Toyota put 22R motors in lots of pickup trucks. Those will work, but you may need to either modify your crossm...

Re: Newbie with ST needs opinions

Welcome to the board. :) I've also got a 74 ST. You could get a decent power boost without compromising much on fuel economy or weight by installing a 22R from a later model Toyota. The stock rear end will tolerate it OK (I bought my 74 with an 85 Celica engine and transmission already installed by ...

Re: Boonies from Vermont.

I'll be driving the 74 home when she's ready. Will be parting out the 71 rust bucket when I'm through raiding it for parts. I am hoping to move before then though as I'm renting and have no garage. My 74 is NOT going to live outside! :)

Re: Boonies from Vermont.

Hiya Boonies!

I'm Chris from MA. I'm building a 74 ST, but the car isn't local. ETA for my Celica is most likely this summer sometime. I'm not in a hurry. Doing a full restoration. :)

YellowJacket is in NH and Pete is in western MA, so there are a few of us around.

Re: Bama Newbie

Nice cars! My 75 had a black vinyl roof, but it didn't line the doors. But that was an ST and your car is a GT. Maybe that's the difference.
