New owner of 74 celica GT from BAYAREA/LAS VEGAS

Post by evilkamote »

Wassup People!!! I finally got a me a clean 1st gen celica, been looking for long a time... got the car about a couple of months ago in Milpitas and now the car is sitting in Vegas for a complete restoration.. I got real lucky on this car since the previous owner had it for over 16 yrs and took really good care of it.. (been sitting in his garage all that time ) The car was complete and running with no rust... it also came with complete 18rg motor, dual mikunis, headers and extra tranny... can't wait to start this project..

the old engine is now out of the car... the whole car will be stripped for complete paint in and out within a few days. the engine bay will be soda blasted for complete rust removal, the rest of the car doesn't need to be blasted since its in good shape. The 18rg will be installed once the car has been painted absolute super white... not sure about the interior color but im leaning towards white and black.. I think im going to use an AE86 rear end with lsd and some coilovers.. ( missed out on a deal that was sold locally)

I'm not sure on brake upgrades yet... I will be putting 15" panasport wheels that was used on my mazda gtx.

I will try to post pics on my progress.
