Hello everyone,

I found this site searching on the net for parts. My joining this site is two fold. I am president of the New York Nissan Z club here in lower NY. Check out NYZCC.COM. With that said, a good friend of mine who was our events director passed away earlier this year along with his wife and two daughters in a house fire. His sound Tommy Jr was the sole survivor of the fire. Tommy Sr loved his origianl 78 Datsun 280z that only had 65k miles but his love for sure was it 99xx 77 Celica GT.

Read and see the car here:

http://www.hemmings.com/hsx/stories/201 ... ture3.html

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3370746/1 ... ota-celica

Well May 1st life changed:

So I am in the process of having the Celica and the 280z restored by a local body shop. I hope I am to track down some key items for the Celica. Here is how she sits now:

I look forward to learning and meeting local Celica guys as we move through this process.

Thanks -

Are the cars yours now? None of my business but seems like a good project for your club to get these cars done and present them to Tommy jr?
Im sure the PD/FD could get ample donations to see the job done.
Would be a great story and a very satisfying endeavour for all involved! Call Barry Meguire/Jay Leno and get it going!

Just Thinking

Stopped by the body shop this morning. The Celica was worked on first and man let me tell you these guys are doing a great job! The roof came out perfect. Few more days of prep and she is going in for paint! The Z will be started in a few weeks!

Small update, the parts did get to the bodyshop that was donated from 2 members of this site. I have not been up to see the car in a few weeks, we had a huge storm pass through 3 weeks ago and we have been very busy at the power company. Thanks again guys!

We sent 4 guys and a bucket truck from our PUC down there from my city (Orillia) here in Ontario, they just got back the other day! Glad the parts arrived intact!. Keep us posted.....on the Z too. Tell Tommy jr to sign on to our little forum as well, we would welcome him anytime. Pass on our regards if you're talking to him.

I was poking around your NYZCC earlier.....seems like a class community too!....nice cars as well
