New to the site, and 1st gen Celicas

Hey guys, I live in Sacramento, CA. I used to have an '84 RA63 GT-S coupe that I was madly in love with, especially since I only paid $350 for it..
I've always loved 1st gen Celicas, I "missed out" on a supposedly running 73 that had the whole front sheet metal off of the car.. I would always get mad when I'd see a 1st gen Liftback because I rarely do see them, and figured I'd never be able to own one...
Well.. The day before Thanksgiving, I was in South Lake Tahoe with my buddy and he said he wanted to show me a cool Celica. He drove past and I made him turn around. It was a 77 GT Liftback sitting in front of someone's house. The car looked like it had seen better days, the roof was dented from Ice falling off of the roof of the house, there was some rust, other dents, etc.
I knocked on the guy's door, and it turns out his wife bought the car brand new in San Francisco in 1978. The car has roughly 145,000 miles on it, it's a 5 speed with a smooth running 20R engine..
I bought that car for $500. I'm so excited to bring in down from Tahoe and start working on it. It's not going to be a quick project, as with many, finances are my biggest obstacle. I'm going to post the pics of the car that I do have, I hope you enjoy, and I hope to learn what I can from this site, and hopefully meet some helpful people along the way.
