Hello everyone, new member from Cincinnati. I've got a '77 Celica GT coupe that I was lucky enough to acquire from a trade. I used to have a '98 Honda Civic w/ LSVTEC and an Acura front end, a pretty cool car but man oh man, nothing compares to the RA24. It needs a few things like new shocks, the carb needs to be cleaned/tuned because its idling somewhat rough (but not bad), and the A/C needs to be serviced. Very minor things compared to the heaps of problems I had with the Civic. I also have an FZJ80 '97 Landcruiser so i'm a Toyota guy myself (gotta love 'em!) Anyways, i'm glad to have joined the 1stGenCelica community, the HondaTech community seems to be full of angry yobs who are always looking to argue over the internet. I've noticed that Toyota folks seem to be a lot nicer so i'm looking forward to being an active member of this pretty awesome community. LONG LIVE THE CELICA!! LOL

Here's pics of my RA24

Yes, i've removed the Honda wing that the previous owner had on it. No worries lol

With my brother's ES. Thats about 36 years of Toyota goodness right there!

Here's a pic of the Civic I traded it for

Sorry for the large pics! Looking forward to having an awesome time with my fellow Celica lovers!

RA21 front bumper? See, I didn't know that. I'm really new in the whole 1st Gen Celica world so I had no idea.

Boss welcome.. RA21 is an early version of the celica slant nose. 75-77 celica flat nose or square shape. Those bumpers are from 73-74 celica because of the bolt holes. 71-72 are more smother.

Show us more pics.. looks like shes solid. :2thumbs:

Welcome! you're lucky to get those bumpers. even though it's not the correct bumper, I think it's better than the 60 lb ones I have. :( hahaha

Oh I plan on it! Some guy actually contacted me from Craigslist to tell me about Import Alliance and since I've never been, i'm pretty excited to go for the first time. I've got my first question for you guys. I'm looking to do the struts really soon. And i'm also planning on lowering the car just a tad (1.25-1.5 inch). Any tips for the new guy on which struts/spring I should get? I don't plan on racing the car, just the occasional spirited driving. Thanks in advance, you guys. Oh and I gotta post pics of the wheels I'm going to put on here. I got a set of 15x7 Volk Super Fine Mesh for SUPER cheap ($160) and I can't wait to put them on! I just gotta get tires and center caps for them

That's crazy man, small world surprised . We definitely need to have a celica meet up sometime. If anything, MIlford Steak & Shake has a classic car meet every friday, we can try to go to one of those.

Here's an update on the car. My brother is nice enough to bring me a set of wheels from the Philippines. Here's a pic of what they look like.

Unfortunately, the offset is wrong so they're hitting the shock body :( . I've got some 1.25" spacers on their way but man, I was super excited only to be disappointed lol. It's all good. Soon enough she'll have her new shoes on
