New guy from Germany

Post by Panacor »

Hi everyone,

my name is Thorben and I come from southwest of Germany. I'm infected with the Celica-virus since the first days of my life. My mother had a TA23 and it was my first seen car. Sadly, my dad had crashed it. I always wanted an oldtimer to cruise around, but for a long time I can't accomplish this wish. But last year I had a chance to buy a cheap RA28 GT2000 out of light damp warehouse in a village somewhere in back country of the “Schwabenländle”. In the first moment it looked not so bad. Only the engine had a jammed piston and the upper dashboard was missing. But in the process of dismantling for a restauration the list of things to do grow up. For example: My Celica had holes in the body like a swiss cheese. But after the first shock it doesn’t matter anymore. My goal is to bring it back in the original condition without any mods. Maybe some light ones. JDM vintage races are nice, but I want mine like the mom’s one out of my childhood days.

Here the link of my RA28 out of the German Toyota forum:
