Ok, so im being offered a 1974 TA22 ST celica, apparently 1 of ST's in Australia.

Whats special about a ST rather to a non ST model Celica (Besides the badge)?

Cheers as always :D

Had a look at it 2 days ago, the carby's need attention, not gettin enough fuel in, so it stoped every 10 mins and you need to let the fuel pump run.

And there is a bit of rust, a lot of it under the paint.

But I think its worth it tbh.. He want 5k but ill offer 4 i think

Baiscly there are 5 types of ta22's out there. (correct me if im wrong)

BT-Basic tuning
LT-Limited Tuning
ST-Standard Tuning
GT-Grand Tuning
GTV-?

The fact that the bloke says that is it the only ST in aust is not true. There is a lady in adelaide with a ****MINT**** 74 ST she imported in the 80's. There must me more. As for 5k!!! that seems steep! post some pics because as you have described the rust, it seems a lot of work is involved.

Always try to bring the $$ down. When viewing the car, only point out the faults on the car.
