1977 RA29

Post by WALKER »

Hey everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is David and I live in Calgary, AB, Canada and I just purchased a '77 RA29 from a friend. Car was originally from Washington, purchased by my friend about 3-4 years ago (possibly even from a board member on here). It has been sitting in his garage since then and now is my project to tackle! The car is a liftback, which is exactly what I was looking for in the 1st gen. It is an automatic, but I plan to convert to a manual transmission as soon as possible. I am a Celica enthusiast who currently owns a '95 GT (daily driver) and a '94 GT-FOUR (garage queen). I have always wanted a 1st gen and am quite happy to now say I own one. The body is very solid with only some surface rust.

Short term projects will be to get it running, install the W58 tranny, install the smiley bumpers, honeycomb grills, and new tails.

Well here are some pictures of the RA29.

Also thought I would post a pick of my ST204 and ST205.

I love your liftback. It looks like mine minus some rust. Welcome!

J'aime votre liftback. Il ressemble à mon celica sans un peu de rouille. Bienvenue!

I try to make it easy for you Canadians. biggrin
