New TA28 from Ibiza

Hello everyone, I´m Joan RIbas from Ibiza (Spain), around one year ago I did get a 1977 TA28 Celica Liftback, builded in japan, exportet to France, and how$ome, now is at my house. It is full of fibberglas and rust everywhere but it worcks and anyway BEAUTIFULL.
I hope that all you can help me with my restoration worck :2thumbs: , thankyou.

love the model you have but is it not a RA28 :?:
here you'll find a lot off help one down side you still have to do the hard work on your self :doh:
but its fun to work on them

Hi, and welcome.

I used to own a Seat Ibiza, lol I find it funny but good car thou.

Sure looks like a TA28 on the firewall.

its a ta28.

R series engine is not there.... I think thats something else.

Oh and that is not bad compared to mine..

my mistake,
R or T has somthing to do with the engine?

if im not mistaken yes. RA's came with 20r and 18r's

Hello again, sorry, I'v been away for a while.
Yes, it is a TA28, 2T-B Engine: 1600cc with two AISAN carbs, 86 ridiculous HP... but it worcks.
I´m looking for a 20R or 21R engines, but here in europe are very rare. Are you all from U.SS.?
Whell, I did find a 21R, but it is from an '87 celica, and the gearbox is for front wheel drive, $#!+ $#!+ $#!+.

dont waste on a 20r engine, get a 18rg.. pretty sure u can find one over there.

the t and r states the engine type, t series come with the 2t-3t engines, and the r series come with the 18r-20r (never heard of a 20r in australia tho!!)

the numbers after the t or r state the body series, 22-23 are usually coupes, the 25-29 are hatchbacks.

nice project, got alot of work ahead of you.
